The place was clean and we loved deluxe king room. The location was beautiful and stunning, next to Fountains, Byland, Rievaulx, and other Abbeys as well as the many pubs. It also was in the middle of the city.

perfect spot for exploring landmarks and beautiful parks
during my stay, I loved how close the cottage was to St Mary's, a beautiful landmark just over 3 km away, and enjoyed scenic walks to the nearby White Horse of Kilburn, less than 5 km away and offered fine views.

It's a bit of a hassle that there's no bus route nearby. We also couldn't access the beautiful garden that we could see from the breakfast table, disappointing given how lovely it looked. Just a few small drawbacks, but nothing to overshadow the overall enjoyment of the stay.

A warm welcome at Swan Cottage
Arriving at Swan Cottage, we were greeted by the charming Suzy, who instantly. Our spacious Beautiful King Room boasted an comfortable bed, a modern en suite bathroom, and a well-appointed shower. Breakfast was a delight, with a variety of delicious options that fueled our days of exploration. Suzy's attentiveness and warmth as a host really stood out, and she even helped us secure a lovely dinner reservation at the local pub, friendly and cute.
While our experience was overwhelmingly positive, it's worth noting that the charming, olde worlde character of the cottage comes with some limitations in terms of modern amenities. It may not suit those who prefer sleek, contemporary accommodations, but we found the quaint atmosphere quite endearing.

Couples will love this place
We had to deal with a sad situation, but Suzie made things comfy. Had a chat by the fire, the warmth from her house seemed like home.
It wasn't exactly inexpensive but it was acceptable.
